About Us

Interested in learning a little bit more about the people (and the pups!) behind the blog? You’re in the right place. Here’s a little more about us and why we chose full-time RV life.

Hutch and Fallon

Meet Hutch

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by and getting to know us. I was born in Japan, grew up in Tampa, FL, and after joining the Air Force, I was stationed in Georgia, Panama, and Arkansas (for way too long). I also deployed eight times – all to the desert, Iraq, or Afghanistan. I didn’t get to travel to the places I wanted to on the Air Force’s dime, but I’m hoping to make up for that with our new Super C RV.

After more than 20 years in the Air Force, I retired as a Master Sergeant – and was recently told by a friend that buying an RV officially makes me a stereotypical Senior Non-Commissioned Officer. I’m okay with that.

I got into woodworking after I retired, and while I can’t bring most of my tools along, I’m still planning to support Stephanie’s latest storage hacks and DIY dreams (courtesy of her doom-scrolling on Instagram, of course). My Fantasy Football obsession, luckily, doesn’t take up any extra space. You’ll probably find me watching games on the outside TV.

What I’m most looking forward to is learning the ins and outs of our Super C and making it feel like ours. If sharing our journey helps someone else get started, or even just gives you a good laugh at my expense, that’s a win in my book.

Meet Stephanie

Hi! I’m a hardworking digital strategist by trade, garden optimist in my heart – even though Florida’s heat keeps murdering my plants. I’m a total foodie, an organizing aficionado, someone who loves her people (and pups) fiercely, and have always felt called to the wanderlust.

I’m naturally curious, a lifelong bookworm, and I get weirdly excited about solving problems – whether it’s cracking a marketing or systems strategy or figuring out how to store seven kinds of flour in an RV pantry.

I was born in Oregon, grew up in Pennsylvania and Florida, and have lived in Colorado and even London, England for a bit before settling in St. Petersburg, Florida.

I’m excited to get the dogs settled and start making the RV feel like home. If our journey, with all its wins and flops, makes someone laugh, feel seen, or helps them feel more confident in starting their own version of this adventure… goal achieved.

RV Life Q&A

Here’s a quick RV life Q&A to shed light on who we are and how we’re approaching full‑time RV living. A little bit quirky, a little bit fun – perfect for anyone curious about what it’s really like to move into an RV home.

What “non-essential” are you absolutely bringing?

Hutch:
The craps table won’t fit, but I’m definitely bringing my sense of humor (and probably too many tools).

Steph:
My KitchenAid mixer. I know, I know—it’s probably not considered “essential” RV gear, but I literally can’t live without it. Boujie? Maybe. Regret it? Never.

What's your go-to comfort food?

Hutch:
Pizza. Always. Especially when Stephanie makes it from scratch – her dough is no joke.

Steph:
Sugar. Period. Cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pudding, candy – I don’t discriminate. Sugar fuels my creativity (and my mood).

What's your signature hype song?

Hutch:
Anything from Rush. If “Tom Sawyer” is playing, it’s ON.

Steph:
When it’s cleaning day, it’s ABBA day. “Mamma Mia” is my jam, and yes… I dance with the vacuum.

What was the toughest thing to downsize?

Hutch:
My woodworking tools. There’s just not enough room for all of it in the RV, but it’s safely heading to storage for now.

Steph:
Kitchen stuff. Ugh. It hurts. I’ve packed more boxes labeled “kitchen” into storage than anything else – and yes, I mourn every. single. spatula.

What hobbies are tagging along for the ride?

Hutch: Woodworking – at least, what I can fit. And let’s be real, my fantasy football spreadsheets and game-watching rituals are making the cut, no question.

Steph: My obsession with labels, containers, and all things organization. Yeah, I’m a container gal. Expect a color-coded pantry and maybe even a label for the dog’s label maker.

Meet Gypsy & Fallon

Hi, we’re Gypsy and Fallon – the four-legged chaos coordinators of this operation. We may be on the smaller side, but don’t let that fool you – we run a tight (and occasionally barky) ship.

Fallon is the muscle. He’s food-motivated, deeply loyal to his ladies (his mama and his sister), and locked in an eternal turf war with every squirrel east of the Mississippi. He’s always down for a nap, unless there’s something to bark at… which is almost always.

Gypsy, on the other paw, is the sass. She’s high-strung but adorable, a total prancer who thinks wet grass is a personal attack. She lives for a good run, adores people, and considers herself the social director of the RV – as long as there isn’t any thunder or lightning around.

We were both born in Trenton, Florida, and have lived our whole lives with our mama (and now Hutch) in St. Pete. Right now, our job is to get underfoot and remind them both that they should really be paying more attention to us.

We didn’t pick the RV, but it has big windows and lots of squirrels to surveil, so no complaints here. Gypsy’s especially excited to meet new humans. Fallon’s just trying to figure out where the new yard starts and ends – and whether the squirrels got a head start.

At the end of the day, we just want love. And treats. But mostly love. And also treats.

FAQ’s

Got questions about our RV life journey or full‑time RV living? You’re in the right place! Below you’ll find our frequently asked questions. If you’re curious about full-time RV living, contact us to let us know what questions you’d like answered. Ready to dive in and get answers? Let’s go!

Why did you decide to live in an RV full-time?

Stephanie’s parents are getting older and less self-sufficient. They need more support, and we need to be closer in order to make that happen. So a move was a must. But, buying a house near them just didn’t feel right and we didn’t want to rent if there an option that was more financially sound. So we pivoted – and decided on full-time RV living instead! Living the RV life allows us to be closer to loved ones while traveling, working remotely, and exploring at our own pace.

Why "We're Fine. Everything Is Fine."?

This saying is a mainstay in our house and gets us through most anything, hopefully with a little giggle. I even got Hutch a little emotional support dumpster fire toy for a Christmas stocking stuffer last year. It helps us keep our sense of humor going when life lashes out, you know?

Also, since we started talking about our choice to move forward with full-time RV living, we’ve gotten both enthusiastic support and a whole lot of skepticism. We’ve spent what seems like a lot of time justifying our decision to people when really all that matters at the end of the day is whether or not we’re ok with it. Keeping that in mind, the name is also a tiny way to gently poke fun at the doubters. Yes… we’re fine. Everything is fine!

When's the hard launch date, and how are you getting ready?

We’re planning a hard launch in late summer 2025! Right now, we’re in sort, sell, and store mode – sorting through what goes into the RV, what gets stored, and what’s going to be sold at an epic yard sale. We’ve got two homes to sell in Tampa Bay, so there’s also some refreshing and repairs happening at both properties too. Next step? Get both houses on the market!

How did you decide which RV was right for you?

Long story short? We made a wants & needs list – writing it all down helped us organize our thoughts, and really helped us decide what was actually a need vs things we both just wanted. It was also hugely helpful when we went to a dealership – the sales team was able to easily direct us to rigs that fit our list.

We also were pretty sure in the beginning that we were interested a motorhome instead of a 5th wheel or travel trailer. Hutch likes his current truck, and didn’t want to have to replace it with something else that would be capable of towing our new home.

What made you decide to share your journey?

The thing that helped us make the decision on whether full-time RV living was right for us was watching others on YouTube share their stories. Watching their experiences – both the good and the bad – helped us make our choice. If sharing our own personal journey helps others decide if RV life is right for them, I think that would make us both feel fantastic. With that in mind, we got started!
